Teens can be tough to buy gifts for — they usually want super expensive electronics and honestly, not everyone can afford to buy an iPhone this year.
Here’s a list of gifts that most teen girls will enjoy — and they are all quite affordable!
Felt Message Board
These Felt Message Boards are so cool, just be careful that you’re not paying too much. You should be able to snag one for under $30 including all the letters. I’ve seen these at Joann’s — use a coupon when it’s full-price and you should be able to get a great deal!
Bath Bomb Gift Set or Bath Bomb Making Kit
Bath bombs are all the rage right now but they can be SPENDY. Look for deals on Amazon (there’s a bunch available HERE) or encourage her creativity and buy a bath bomb making kit!
The packaging on this kit is AWESOME and it looks like there’s enough supplies to keep her busy for a long time!
Bluetooth Speaker
If she has an iPhone or iPad or listens to music some other way, a bluetooth speaker is a must! You can find quality speakers almost anywhere at lots of different price points. This one has great reviews and is very affordable.
Photo Clip Lights
Photo Clip Lights are super cheap (think around $10) and are an easy way to bring life to a bedroom. It’s also an easy way to display photos! Amazon has TONS of options.
Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow
For some reason, Urban Decay cosmetics are all the rage for teens and this Naked Eyeshadow Palette is everyone’s favorite.
They are expensive (regular price is around $55) but you should be able to get a deal (I’ve seen them as low as $29) at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Ulta, Macy’s, Sephora or other places that high quality cosmetics are sold. You just have to hit these stores at the right time.
When we find deals on these palettes, we quickly post in our Best Christmas Deals Facebook group! Join the group if you want up to the minute deals.
Photo Printer
Get ALL of those photos from her phone or iPod onto paper. There are a number of photo printers on the market. My daughter has the HP Sprocket Portable Photo Printer. It prints 2×3 photos and can be used for tons of things (photo clip lights?).
The bummer part of all the portable printers is that the paper is expensive.
If she doesn’t have a phone or iPod yet, the Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 camera is a great option. It’s right around $60 and photos print directly from the camera!
FitBit Bands
If she has a FitBit, you can give her replacement bands! They run around $10 each and are such a fun way to dress up an outfit. Amazon has about one trillion options — just look for an option that has good reviews and is priced around $10 each.
Hand Lettering Book & Supplies
Learning how to letter like you see all over Instagram and Pinterest is super fun. If she likes to doodle, write stuff, or wants to decorate her room with chalkboards, give her a hand lettering book! Amazon has a lot of great options.
Add a sketch book for practice, nice pens, a small chalkboard + chalk pens for her to display her new skills! (The chalk pens work on windows as well!)
Make-up Lesson
This would be a fun “experience” gift. Find a local make-up artist that offers lessons and buy her a session! I just searched “make-up lesson” + my location and found several who offered this service.
Sweet Backpack
Fjallraven Kanken Classic Packs combine function with awesome colors. You can buy them from Nordstrom or Amazon (you’ll find the deals on Amazon).
Removable Camera Lens for Phone or iPod
If she loves to take pictures on her phone or iPod, give her an inexpensive camera lens that attaches right to the device! This model should work with any type of device.
Water Bottle + Stickers
Hydro Flask water bottles are the “thing” right now with teens. They are excellent quality and you can decorate them with stickers! You have two size options — the 21 ounce size (perfect for fitting in backpacks and car drink holders) or the larger 32 ounce size that works well for sports.
Now the real fun starts as she hunts high and low for the very best stickers. This is an especially meaningful gift if she has a big trip planned in the future!
If she’s a Stranger Things fan, this awesome 50-piece pack of stickers is less than $6!
Lip Balm Making Kit
Another body product crafting kit! You can either create your own lip balm making kit (Martha Stewart has a great recipe HERE — you can purchase the ingredients individually) or you can purchase a ready-made kit here.
It’s an added bonus if you already have essential oils in your house — one less ingredient to buy!
Kate Spade Stud Earrings
Every girl needs a fancy pair of earrings but many of them aren’t responsible enough to handle ones with expensive stones. The Kate Spade Small Square Stud Earrings are the perfect option — they are relatively inexpensive ($32-ish), have tons of sparkle, and will work for formal dances, fancier family events, and dressing up for a play or ballet performance. Watch Nordstrom during Black Friday/Cyber Monday as they often have a pair on sale!
Illuminated Phone Case
An inexpensive illuminated phone case is the perfect accessory for your selfie-taking girl. Just make sure you’re purchasing a case that fits perfectly with her phone or iPod.
LapGear Lap Desk
LapGear desks are great for doing homework on the couch or her bedroom floor. There’s ample work space plus a phone and supply slot! The XL Designer Laptop Desk has enough room for a 17 inch laptop (or a big text book).
