Hello We R Fans! Kimberly here with a fun layout for my planner. Every year in the month of October, I love to cook and bake silly and fun foods for Halloween. To help me get organized, I created a planner page to begin the meal planning process. Using my Mini Evolution from We R Memory Keepers, I was able to die cut some fun embellishments for my page. Not normally being a person who decorates her planner pages, this was really fun and I have to say, addicting!
I started by creating a dimensional way to mark my page in my planner. Using a bat paper clip from Pebbles, I die cut a circle from patterned paper. Then I added that adorable cat brad to the center of the circle. A basic clip with a simple addition that makes it stand out.
Then I began the fun of decorating my pages. Layering papers and colors was fun! Underneath the cute bat tag that was pre-made, I added a banner of patterned paper. I die cut the paper and then trimmed it to fit the space.
Underneath the pre-made Pebbles images I used, I wanted to add more color and texture. Looking at my embossing folders, I saw the Fall folder with the spider web image border. Using black tape and the folder, a very cool border was created. The tape is perfect for this for two reasons. One, it brings out the image in white, and two, it is self-adhesive once you remove the backing.
As I pondered how else I could use my Mini Evolution for this page, I realized I did not want to draw in all my boxes like usual, so I dug through my die stash and found this cute scalloped frame, which was spot-on! Not only does it add color to the pages, but a unique look that I will use again!
The best part of using the Mini Evolution for these pages was how small the machine is, but still powerful. It would be easy to keep on a small office desk, or carry in your every day planner bag of supplies. A great addition for some creative layouts!
