First Grade Morning Bins for November are here and have been added to the First Grade Morning Bin Bundle! Join thousands of teachers who have swapped out their pencil and paper routine with hands-on and engaging morning bins!

NOTE: Many teachers are choosing to use these as early finisher tubs or during a different part of the day. Generic labels have been included for this purpose.

Let’s see the First Grade Morning Bins for November in action!

Morning Bin #1: Vocabulary

Students will build a vocabulary word with magnetic letters and will match the picture to the word.

Morning Bin #2: Sounds

Students will spin the spinner and cover a blend word.

Morning Bin #3: Segment & Blend

Students will read the CVC word and add the silent e card to make the new CVCe word.

Morning Bin #4: Sight Words

Students will read the sight word, build it with magnet letters, and write the word.

Morning Bin #5: Sequence

Students will look at the pictures and put them in order of sequence.

Morning Bin #6: Sentences

Students will read the phrases and pick the conjunction to complete the sentence.

Morning Bin #7: Grammar

Students will look at the picture and pick the preposition to match.

Morning Bin #8: Writing

Students will flip a word card and an ending punctuation card.  Then they will use them to write a sentence.

Morning Bin #9: Rhymes, Syllables & Compound Words

Students will count the syllables, sort the cards and complete the graph.

Morning Bin #10: Text

Students will pick a card and look for a character in a book that has matches the description.

Morning Bin #11: Count Sequence

Students will flip 2 cards to make a 2-digit number and count on to write the next 5 numbers.

Morning Bin #12: Comparing Numbers & Making Groups

Students will spin the spinner twice and compare the numbers.

Morning Bin #13: Representing Numbers

Students will match the number to the number word.  Then they will spell the number word.

Morning Bin #14: Base Ten

Students will flip a card, count the base ten blocks and cover the number on the mat.

Morning Bin #15: Fluency

Students will add the two sides of the dominos and sort them to the sum on the Domino sorting mat.

Morning Bin #16: Addition & Subtraction

Students will spin a sum and cover a problem to match the sum.

Morning Bin #17: Measurement & Data

Students will sort cards from shortest to tallest or shortest to longest.

Morning Bin #18: Geometry

Students will use pattern blocks to reflect the picture.

Morning Bin #19: Time & Money

Students will look at the picture and decide if it takes place in the morning or in the night.

Morning Bin #20: Patterns & Fractions

Students will skip count by 5’s or 10’s to complete the hundred chart.

Morning Bin #21: Social & Emotional

Students will look at the problem and clip the best choice.
