Sophie Turner has poked fun at social media influencers and their brand deals.
In her Instagram story, the actress put on a fake American accent and feigned promoting products on the platform.
“Hey you guys, just kind of going for my influencer look today,” she announced.
“I just want to promote this new powdered stuff that you put in your tea,” continued Turner, who was decked in a beanie, puffy jacket and a scarf wrapped around her neck with a filter over her face that made her cheeks look extra rosy and her lips even plumper.
Turner criticized that detox teas were created to make you “s**t your brains out,” but she—or rather, many in the influencer community—“doesn’t really give a f**k” because the money is good.
The video ends with Turner faking a laugh and showing the peace sign to her fans.
Her clip is a clear jab at online personalities who have been advertising diet suppressants and other questionable weight loss products on social media. Turner isn’t the first one who has taken a stand on such products. Previously, actress Jameela Jamil called out Khloé Kardashian for promoting detox teas on Instagram.
