Um, Where on Earth Has This Chip-Bag-Sealing Hack Been My Whole Life?

admin

If you're one of the few people in the world who manages to not finish an entire bag of chips in one sitting, firstly, HOW? And secondly, we have a wonderful hack that is going to save you endless time spent rummaging for a chip clip, paper clip, or sealing device of some sort. Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi recently shared a video on Twitter revealing a mind-boggling trick to close a bag of chips while maintaining ultimate freshness. "How am I just finding out about this now?" she wrote, including a video originally published on TikTok by user shine.on.darlin last month.

Here's how it's done: Start by folding both corners of the bag and rolling inward. Then, take the top pointed corners and roll them downward until the bag is totally rolled up and sealed. The woman in the original video flipped the bag upside-down for good measure like a Dairy Queen Blizzard, but for those not willing to risk it, putting the bag right back in the pantry will also suffice.

Full disclosure here: even after watching the video multiple times, we're still struggling to achieve the crisply folded style accomplished above. But hey, just like the hours we spend attempting to perfect the dances on TikTok, we won't stop trying! If you possess the skill of not downing a whole bag of chips before hitting the crumbs, check out the trick for sealing without a clip ahead, and prepare to laugh at some of the relatable reactions.
