If you’re like me, organizing is something you’ve really focused on during the past six months. Some people tackled smaller projects like reorganizing their kitchens, some cleaned out the long-ignored attic or garage, and some even decided to make major changes, like downsizing, selling, or (like us) remodeling. For me, staying at home more shone a light on some big issues that needed attention: some were with my actual physical home, some were related to my stress levels, some were related to a lack of balance in my life. But you know what? All of them were contributing to a lack of peace in my life.
Today, I’m going to be sharing one practical and stylish organizational trend, one helpful tool designed to help you cut the clutter, and one amazing (free) resource that I’ve been keeping a secret since last spring! Get Organized: The Hottest Trend

The biggest trend in home organization this summer became big baskets—specifically water hyacinth storage bins. They’ve become everyone’s go-to organizational catchall! They’re functional, easy to label, and oh-so-stylish. My favorites are the ones at The Container Store for quality and durability, but Target and Amazon both have great selections too.
The Container Store has sizes ranging from XS (10-3/4″ x 7-1/2″ x 4″ h) all the way up to L (17-1/4″ x 11-3/4″ x 8″ h). They’re beautifully constructed!

Amazon, as you can probably imagine, has the widest selection! They’ve got (pricey) foldable water hyacinth baskets, nesting baskets, and they’ve even got the same set of lidded baskets as Target. (For the exact same price!)

Get Organized: The Coolest Tool

I’ve been keeping a little secret from you…. I’ve never done anything like this before, but back in the spring I agreed to be a speaker at the Get Organized HQ Conference. Little did I know when I agreed to do it that in the next six months, organizing would become a national pastime !
