Hello stairs.
Your greenery and bows look amazing.
You’ve celebrated more Christmases with me than I can even count.
I’ve waited at the bottom step for Santa and danced up and down the stairs with my brothers and sisters waiting to go into the living room to see what he brought down the chimney.
My father would go first to see what Santa brought.
Then we’d run through the wrapping paper on the door and with great anticipation and fanfare march toward the mantel to see our stockings filled with presents. Except for the one year my brother found coal in his stockings.
But that’s a story for another day.
I know that Santa is busy and the elves are a little overwhelmed this time of year, so I thought I would make life a little easier. Today on Day 9 of our “12 Days of Getting Ready for Christmas” series, Leslie and I are sharing some inexpensive stocking stuffer ideas.
Here are 20 that are at the top of Santa’s list.
Under $5 Stocking Stuffers
Let’s start with these socks with a message.
And the best part? They are only $1.00.
This cute airpod cover.
It comes with a clip for backpacks, too.
You can see it here.
Look at these window crayons.
They come in a set of five and you can use them to draw on any glass surface.

There’s a fun promotion going on at Ulta right now with 5 for $5 and this peppermint bath fizzer is part of it.
With the promotion, there are tons of fun items to fill up a stocking.
You can see the bath fizzer here.
This gear tie.
It’s resuable and has great reviews.

According to the twins, reusable drinking straws are all that and a bag of chips.
This set even comes with a cleaner.
Look at this set of markers.
Each marker has two ends and they smell like silly scents.
(total aside: These are actually 5.72. But they were too amazing not to include.)
You can see the marker set here.
This clip-on phone stand.
Perfect for all the tasks and everyone on Santa’s list.

Look at this fun undereye mask from Ulta.
It’s a set to help reduce puffiness.
And this mascara.
You know how much I’ve talked about it all year. What a perfect stocking stuffer.

I also love:
- these alligator hair clips
- this keychain flashlight
- this hand cream

Christmas is coming soon.
I’ll be waiting on the stairs until then.
